PROPOSED CHANGES TO OUR CHARTER: The charter subcommittee (Bill Notz, Erin Blankenship, and Cassandra Pattanayak) has developed a proposed revision to the Section charter (Oct. 15 draft) that will be voted on by all section members in the Spring. We ask you to provide any feedback you have on this proposal before it is submitted to the ASA. Please use this form to submit comments by December 14, 2018. In particular, there are two components to the proposal: one is the proposed name change to the section, and the other is the language of the charter. You may find this preliminary working definition of Data Science document useful in guiding your reading/commenting.
